Star Wars the Rise of Skywalker

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, or, in California on May 25, 1977, George Lucas created Star Wars, the popular movie series that is known by almost everybody today.

The popular movie franchise has made at least 9.2 billion dollars since its first movie in 1977. Over the past 42 years, the franchise has grown  to the point where May 4th is celebrated by most Star Wars fans, with the phrase “May the 4th be with you.”

The latest Star Wars movie was Star Wars Rise of Skywalker. The movie earned 20 million dollars domestically on December 24, 2019, making it the 2nd largest Christmas take ever. It reached 433.4 million dollars in total the monday after it came out.

Sophia Valle, a seventh grader at AdVENTURE STEM, says she’s excited for the new movie because she has watched every Star Wars movie and has been a fan for as long as she can remember. “I think  the movie will be a big hit, because it’s the last of the Skywalker saga.”
