As you all may know the Eagles creamed the Patriots winning their first Super Bowl and breaking the Patriots record on Sunday, February 4th at 6:00 pm. Quarterback Nick Foles, Quarterback for the Eagles, lead his team to victory while Quarterback Tom Brady with the Patriots couldn’t keep up. The U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota was crowded with many fans and super bowl festivities. The Eagles were the best in their division, which got them there. They had great season records and were able to crush the other teams during the playoffs.

“I think the big thing that helped me was knowing that I didn’t have to be Superman. I have amazing teammates, amazing coaches around me. And all I had to do was just go play as hard as I could, and play for one another, and play for those guys,” says Foles.

It was a great performance from both teams. The Eagles had four receiving touchdowns and one of those touchdowns was made by Nick Foles; plus one rushing touchdown for LeGarrette Blount for the Eagles. Not to mention the two touchdowns put up by Rob Gronkowski as well as James White for the Patriots. Danny Amendola clocked 152 yards, Chris Hogan moved the ball 128 yards and Rob Gronkowski ran 116 yards for the Patriots. Tom Brady earned his team 505 receiving yards!

All in all the Eagles, the underdogs of football managed to grab a few points here and there. All combined they got enough points to win themselves a Lombardi trophy. In the final minutes of the game, people expected Tom Brady to deliver his Super Bowl come back. But this time he was stopped by the Eagles defense. Great win for the Eagles and, even though the Patriots brought their A game, it wasn’t enough.
