AdVenture’s Charity Fair was hosted on December 13, 2018 at Herman AdVenture STEM or 5955 Blossom Avenue, San Jose, CA 95123. Students from AdVenture presented the charity their of choice and sold items to try and raise as much money as possible for charity. There were alot of cool items like pencil holders,  chocolate lego figures and milkshakes.

Andre Winkel, a student at Herman AdVenture has a few things to say about the Charity Fair. Charity Fair was very frustrating for him, and he also said it was very intimidating. “Nothing interesting happened, except my group sold more than what was expected,” said Winkel. His group surprisingly sold about 52 out of 60 brownies. They raised $95.00 in profit for their charity. Andre mentioned that his presentation was okay; the only thing that was bad is that “there was a lot of dead time.”

But one thing is the students don’t get to choose where the money they raise goes. AdVenture Student Council chooses where the money goes. Students would like to have more of a say which charity the money goes to after Charity Fair. There are many different charities than support water usage, food waste, pollution, animal safety, and more. Plus charities try to raise as much money as possible to support their cause.

In conclusion, Charity Fair went pretty well for the students. It may have been frustrating and intimidating, but it was still fun for everyone.

I like how the article shows some of the products sold, and also shows the opinion of students, versus the overall outlook of Charity Fair, because Charity Fair is such a stressful time for students, but we tend to overlook that.
